ORFEO2 (2017)

Orfeo2 connects Matthew Aucoin’s dramatic cantata The Orphic Moment – which ends at the very instance when Orpheus loses Eurydice for a second time – to Gluck’s Orfeo and Eurydice. Designed as an immersive opera experience and featuring American counter-tenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, Orfeo2 premiered in Salzburg, Austria in 2017.

Costumes were designed by Irina Kruzhilina - I served as the assistant designer. My contributions to this project include material and aesthetic research, consulting on dye-work, as well as creating full-color renderings for all of the characters.
